Pipework is either fitted behind the wall, clipped, with shower unit fixed to exposed pipe ends; or are surface mounted. If pipework is concealed, pipework is left long, protruding through the wall, allowing for tiling and wall finishing to be completed, before the shower unit is fixed.<\/p>\n<h4>Shower Trays<\/h4>\n<p>Shower trays can be mounted on legs with a plinth to conceal the waste and pipework. This allows more flexibility in terms of siting the cubicle. They can also be low level\/ flush fitting shower trays which allow greater access to the cubicle and can be very attractive. They do require more planning for the waste pipes and can be more intrusive to the building to install.<\/p>\n<h4>Space Needed<\/h4>\n<p>There are a wide variety of sizes and enclosures, cubicles and trays to suit clients tastes, but 700mm square would be the smallest size and tend to be a little cramped!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><section id=\"bt_section6a1c5e6bbc72e\"  class=\"boldSection gutter\" ><div class=\"port\"><div class=\"boldCell\"><div class=\"boldRow \" ><div class=\"rowItem col-sm-12 col-md-12 cellLeft\"  ><div class=\"rowItemContent\" ><header class=\"header small\"><h3><span class=\"dash\"><span class=\"h2content\">Booster Pumps<\/span><\/span><\/h3><\/header><div class=\"btText\"><p class=\"laura-s\">A booster pump can be installed to overcome problems of poor pressure on some shower installations. Booster pumps are generally installed in airing cupboards beside the hot water cylinder. They can be a positive head if the cold water storage tank is sufficiently high above the shower head, or negative head otherwise.
